Samaritan is operated by Samaritan Labs LLC (Wyoming, USA).
We provide an AI-guided prayer and Scripture companion to help users reflect, pray, and find comfort.
Samaritan does not claim to speak for God or replace clergy, prayer, or professional advice.
2. What We Collect
We collect minimal data required for the app to function:
- Audio input: processed in real time to generate responses; not stored.
- Local storage: your conversations are saved only on your device.
- Optional account info: email or name if you choose to sign in.
- Usage data: anonymized analytics to improve performance.
3. How We Use Data
Data is used solely to deliver and improve Samaritan's features.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
Samaritan integrates with trusted third-party providers for authentication, database services, and AI-powered responses.
These services process limited data securely and in accordance with their own privacy policies.
5. Moderation and Safety
To ensure a safe environment, Samaritan may automatically classify sensitive topics (e.g., crisis, abuse, or self-harm) to provide appropriate support resources such as pastoral directories or crisis hotlines.
No human moderation occurs unless required for safety or legal compliance.

6. Denominational Sensitivity

This preference adjusts tone and references. It is stored locally and not shared externally.
7. Minors
Samaritan is intended for users aged 13 and older.
Users under 18 have limited sharing features and cannot send or receive personal messages.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
8. Security
All communication is encrypted and handled with industry-standard security practices.
Temporary processing data is automatically deleted after use.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Conversation history is stored securely so Samaritan can understand user conversations and continue guiding effectively. Data can be deleted by the user on the app at any moment.
Samaritan retains no long-term copies on its servers. We do not sell any data, nor ever will.
